Silverhand:Figure Sculpture for your inner Hellene.

We started the company in 2013. At the time we had only the vaguest idea of what we wanted to do. Having had minor success with creating and selling modern sculpture of our own design based on historical figures, we were yearning to create figures based on licensed properties. We had so much to learn.First, and this one took us a long time, we finally realised that big companies like DC and Marvel weren't interested in working with a tiny start up studio in the rural UK, and that talent and hard work was not enough to get past the gatekeepers. So, undeterred we continued to invest in technique and equipment, learning and creating, and occasionally selling, until we got to the point where we finally accepted that we would have to concentrate on our own designs.
Now, we have reached a long awaited milestone where we can make anything we want in our tiny, tiny studio in Suffolk, (seriously, it is tiny).
So what do you do when you can sculpt any figure you want, and what you want is beautiful naked people. Well, you don't go to the major studios, who seem excited about the bases, and shrink from the nudity traditional to Western sculpture.
So that left us no choice but to just go ahead and make what we like, and hope that other people like it too. If you got this far, then I am guessing you are one of us.
And what is 'us'?
Not easily defined, is what we are. We love our History, Myth and Culture. We love the shape of mankind, the graceful, romantic, lustful, heroic. We love the tales of our Gods, Kings, Queens and Heroes.
Most of all, we love the human figure, adorned or not. It draws our eye like a wave drawn to the shore.
And that is it, in a nutshell.
We are now at the point where we are beginning to work with our art heroes to produce artistic interpretations of iconic contemporary painter's works.
Along with producing designs of our own just for the pure joy of producing beautiful, modern figure sculpture.
We hope you come with us as we continue on our journey to making the Silverhand a symbol of figure sculpture excellence.
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy our work.
